I am also a member of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC). MYAC is a group of students that provide community service for the city of Benton as well as assist in planning events with the Mayor of Benton, David Mattingly. I have been a member for two years and I have logged over 68 hours of community service thus far.
On November 22, 2014 I was crowned Miss Greater Hot Springs Outstanding Teen 2015. It is such an honor to be an official part of the Miss America Organization. It was one of the most memorable event of my lifetime. As Miss Greater Hot Springs Outstanding, I competed for Miss Arkansas' Outstanding Teen. Unfortunately, I did not win instead I walked away with the Fabulous Face Award, scholarships, friendships, memories and important life lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
I am extremely proud to be associated with I Am That Girl (IATG). IATG is not only an organization is a community that helps girls love who they are, uplifts them and promotes a beautiful mindset for young women in today's society. I am the Chapter Leader for the very first I Am That Girl chapter in the state of Arkansas. As a chapter leader, this was also my platform as Miss Greater Hot Springs Outstanding Teen. Being a part of these organizations has transformed me into the young woman I am today.
I have learned so much about myself, the real definition of responsibility and hard work and most importantly I've strengthened my relationship with God. Without Him, I wouldn't have had these opportunities. I am so blessed to have somuch support and unconditional love all the way in Michigan. Thank you so very much to my church family at Ebenezer. Thank you for guiding my faith through great teaching. Because of what I learned at Ebenezer, I knew exactly what to look for in a church home – good teaching. I am now a member of The Church at Rock Creek in Little Rock, AR and it definitely reminds me of Ebenezer which is why it's my new home.
